Setting up a price tracker is meant to be the easiest part of the whole process — it's a single forward, not a form. Whatever confirmation you already received when you booked, whether that's an email or a screenshot from the platform's app, is enough to get started.
The confirmation needs to contain a handful of basics for a tracker to work: the hotel name, the room type or rate description, check-in and check-out dates, and ideally the price you paid. Almost every standard confirmation email includes all of these by default, so there's rarely any extra information to dig up.
There's nothing to fill out and no account to create. The confirmation gets read, the relevant details get extracted automatically, and tracking starts from there — checking the same room and dates across supported platforms once a day until your cancellation deadline passes.
If a confirmation is missing something, like a full room description, that's not usually a blocker either — a best-effort match still gets tracked, with a note that the room comparison is closer to "same category" than "identical room," which is still useful information even if slightly less precise.
